Hi, I'm Delaney Lowrie. I am the owner and sole designer at Sunroom Design Lab.
I have personally designed over 400 sunrooms for contractors across the country, and every one of them was created by me, start to finish. No outsourcing, no templates, no AI shortcuts. Just real design work, done with care.
Background and Training
An Artist First, a Designer Always
I graduated from the Coastal Carolina University with a degree in graphic arts, but the honest truth is that I have been an artist my entire life. Long before I had a degree or a business, I was the person who could not walk past a blank piece of paper without wanting to put something on it. Design is not something I learned, it is something I am.
That foundation shows up in every project I take on. The technical accuracy matters, rooflines have to be right, proportions have to match the home, dimensions have to be buildable. But what makes a rendering actually work for a contractor is when it looks beautiful. When a homeowner sees it and says yes. That is where the art comes in, and that is what a graphic arts background gives you that pure drafting training does not.
Sunroom Design Lab is based in South Carolina and serves sunroom contractors throughout the United States. The entire design process is remote, which means contractors send project information digitally and Delaney creates the design from wherever the project is located. There are no site visits required and no geographic limitations. A contractor in Florida, Michigan, Texas, or California works with SDL exactly the same way as a contractor down the street.

I did not fall into sunroom design by accident. I found it, and then I stayed because I genuinely love it. There is something specific and satisfying about this kind of work. Every project is a real home, a real family, a real addition that is going to exist in the world. The design has to honor the existing architecture, work with the roofline, and make the homeowner feel like the new space was always meant to be there.
I also love working with contractors. The people who build these spaces are craftspeople, and they deserve design support that matches the quality of their work. That is what I set out to build with Sunroom Design Lab, and it is what keeps me at my desk every day.
